The Job

At our client's hotel, food quality takes centre stage. This position entails close collaboration with the head chef to oversee a team of chefs dedicated to crafting exceptional food for the dining room, café, and function events. The Person

As the Sous Chef, you'll inspire and oversee the commis chefs in preparing food for up to 120 guests during peak periods, as well as catering for functions of similar scale. With a sharp focus on quality, consistency, and portion control, you'll ensure culinary excellence across all dishes. Building strong rapport with the front of house team, you'll collaborate closely to swiftly fulfil guest preferences. While a qualification in professional cookery would be advantageous, indispensable is relevant industry experience at the Chef de Partie level. Flexibility is key, as working hours may vary to accommodate the dynamic needs of the business.
