Job Description

As the Head Chef, your menus will set the tone and the quality and pricing will make or break the food operation.  As the Head Chef, your passion for presentation and dedication to delivering flavour will complete each guest's experience. You will be taking pride in your workspace and keeping your standards and that of your team high.

  • Overall responsibility for daily operations in the kitchen
  • Own your kitchen - keep on top of supplies and equipment, and minimise waste
  • Liaise with the hotel management team about any unsafe equipment or safety incidents
  • Help create a safe space by following our safety procedures and wearing the necessary protective equipment
  • Ensure self and team send out high-quality food on time every time
  • Be cleaner than clean - meet or exceed UK food hygiene regulations to ensure we achieve 5-star Scores on the Doors.
  • Help with washing up and other kitchen duties when needed
  • Produce Menus and new dishes
  • Managing, training and recruiting of brigade of chefs
  • Ensure controls are in place for food and labour management

What we need from you

  • Previous kitchen management experience.
  • Good IT skills to calculate food costs, enter and cost labour schedules
  • Flexible - night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job
  • Heath and Safety and Food Hygiene qualifications at Level 3 or above
  • Compliant - as well as meeting local laws on food handling.
  • Must speak fluent English.
  • Ability to communicate with your team and the hotel teams.
  • Professional cookery qualification
