The Park

We're slap bang in Peebles High Street and make the most of it.  Offering 25 hotel bedrooms, a restaurant, bar and bakery to guests and locals. From the moment you open the door, our quirky welcome is sure to spark your imagination as our character packed spaces draw influence from the March Street textiles mill. 

About the role

We are recruiting for a friendly, passionate and professional Operations Manager to join us at The Park to provide excellent customer service and ensure our customers receive the best customer experience. You will be knowledgeable and a creative leader.

You'll be one of those think outside the box types, the type that really want to find ways to inspire loyalty, through ensuring each of our customer receives an outstanding service. How you do this is up to you, but we know through experience that those most successful Operations Managers within our hotels and have experience in the hotel industry, combined with a genuine passion for keeping up-to-date with market and competitor trends.

What we need from you:

  • Operational management experience - in food and drink roles, using systems such as a POS, Maestro and Silverware.
  • Leadership - a natural leader with a coaching style - we want happy, confident, motivated people.
  • Passion - For great service, we want our guests to have a memorable experience.
  • Team focus - there are no egos here, just hard-working people, you'll not be afraid to roll up your sleeves and support the team.
  • Ideas - we're up for doing things differently and will try (almost) everything once.
  • Fun and easy to talk to - we're looking for personality, not a corporate clone
  • Planning and Organising - top of your list, we want our team to feel confident in their role and we believe this starts with Induction and training.
