The sales lift provided by these events is substantial, with Thompson citing that they contributed to an approximate one-third rise in trade levels over the course of the previous year.
Clubhouse Bars Group's operations manager Tony Pert acknowledges that the festival has a considerable impact on their business, observing that it gives pubs in Edinburgh a massive and substantial increase in trade.
As a result, hospitality venues across the city are gearing up for what promises to be a busy and lucrative period.
With the Fringe Festival set to run for an extended duration of approximately four weeks, from Friday 2 August through to Monday 26 August, the city's bars, restaurants, and hotels will be working tirelessly around the clock to cater to the influx of visitors.
