Asia de Cuba to close its Doors after 20 Years
Tuesday, February 26, 2019
Asia de Cuba, in St Martin’s Hotel in London, is to close its doors for the last time in just two days (on 28th February 2019) after opening in Covent Garden in 1999. The Chino-Latino dining room will be replaced by a pop-up with Asian inspired food, exploring Thai, Vietnamese and Cambodian cuisine for a fixed amount of time.
This comes from the plans to shake up the food and beverage options at the hotel by their American based owner, SBE Entertainment Group, who bought the parent company of St Martin’s, Morgans Hotel Group, in 2016 for $82m.
The Asian inspired pop-up will close along with another bar in the hotel, Blind Spot, at the end of spring. They will be replaced with one of the more successful brands from the collection of restaurants and bars in SBE hotels.
