BaxterStorey backs new cookery partnership for women in hospitality

A new chef partner has been announced by the independent restaurant services provider Ruth Hansom as she aims to promote the training and maintenance of female chefs throughout the company.
Hansom after three years of training at the Ritz and working behind the chef John Williams became the first woman to earn National Chef of the Year in 2017 and reached the final of the Great British Menu in 2020.
Since joining The Princess of Shoreditch in 2021 as chef de cuisine, Hansom is already awarded three AA Rosettes, and is the only pub in London to earn the award.
Hansom, chef-at-large at Princess of Shoreditch in London, will be working with Chef Academy des Caterers to nurture and inspire the next generation of women in gastronomy Charlotte Becke, BaxterStorey 'By having Ruth join us, we have someone who really understands the challenges of working in a male-dominated industry and how to overcome them.
I know so many of my peers are thrilled to have the chance to work with Ruth, and the network is going to be fantastic to get to know more women in the business, there's definitely a buzz in the air, watch this space!
