Bars and restaurants could be hit with scarcity over August Bank Holiday weekend after drivers voted to strike

There will also be an overtime ban and the "work to rule" measures will apply from the 24th to the 15th of November.

Members of Unite voted in favour of a 97% strike with 99% voting in favour of industrial action as the firm offered a 1.4% pay rise for 2021.

The union claimed workers lost between £8.000 and £10.000 last year because of overtime, with no pay rise until 2020.

Unite national drinks representative Joe Clarke said: 'Our members have suffered great financial hardship during the pandemic with some of them losing up to £10.000 through being furloughed and picking up no overtime.
