Billion pound profit for UK hospitality in May

UKH estimated that the industry could see a £1billion push this month due to a combination of 'big events' across Britain including the Coronation of the King and the Eurovision Song Contest.

The Bank Holiday weekend alone, on the day when the King is inaugurated, should yield a £350 million boost to the industry.

They did.

UKHospitality CEO Kate Nicholls said: 'May has the potential to be a historic month for the hospitality sector, which is set for one of its busiest times in recent memory.
