Brasserie Blanc owner sees new venues in expansion plan for 60 sites

The owner of Brasserie Blanc, the chain's restaurant chain, has announced a major overhaul of its service business in an important overhaul of its strategy to grow into pubs with rooms

Brasserie Bar Co, which was bought by private equity firm Alchemy Partners last year, said it would be renamed Heartwood Collection in a strategy of renewed growth.

Heartwood says it completed acquiring 11 condominiums in the past 12 months and is on the brink of acquiring a further five.

It currently runs 20 premium pubs and 14 Brasserie Blanc restaurants throughout the UK and plans to expand to 60 sites by June 2027.

It said it would create around 1.500 additional jobs across Britain as a result.

Heartwood said its plan for growth will involve new pubs and guest-rooms, as its chief executive said "strong demand" for overnight guests continues despite the international travel market's recovery after the pandemic.

Richard Ferrier, chief executive of Heartwood, told PA: 'We have always been a pub and restaurant group but see it as a big year as we are moving into pubs with rooms for the first time.

The new strategy will also focus on expanding the portfolio of condominiums and moving away from leased property.
