VisitBritain will welcome more than 120 foreign buyers from across the travel industry to a range of educational visits across the UK.

The educational visits are part of a development in the "Showcase Britain" event organised by the national tourist agency and beginning with a networking event for international buyers and media on Thursday 26th January at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

Internationally, buyers were greeted officially by VisitBritain president Nick de Bois CBE, followed by updates of the agency's trading teams and of London & Partners, VisitScotland and Visit Wales on the latest products, experiences, hospitality and accommodations.

The Travel Office teams have been collaborating with destination management organisations and destination management companies throughout England, Scotland and Wales to develop routes that will suit their market.

VisitBritain is also to launch a new GREAT Britain marketing campaign in February, to boost bookings and encourage visitors to "See Things Differently" in order to promote the UK as a dynamic, exciting and inclusive destination.

VisitBritain has forecast 35.1 million inbound visits to the UK in its most recent forecast for 2023 as well, up 86 per cent from 2019 and 18 per cent higher than 2022.

He is forecasting spending by foreign visitors to the UK this year to be £29.5billion, meaning the top of earmarked spending for foreign visitors annually is forecast to be £10billion.
