Dunstane Houses hotel selling guide price of £7.5m

Set on the West End, this five-star hotel has 35 rooms and suites spread over two villas and dates back to 1851

The Dunstane Houses were sold to Roseate Hotels on instructions from the private owner - at an undisclosed price despite the property being put on the market for an asking price of £7.5million.

Steven Fyfe, associate director at Savills Scotland, the hotel company responsible for the sale, said: "The Dunstane Houses is a prime investment opportunity that presented a luxury boutique hotel recognised as one of the finest in Edinburgh with significant potential for ongoing success.

To demonstrate this trend real estate consultant Christie & Co has completed the sale of 53 Frederick Street, a boutique hotel in Edinburgh's New Town.
