Finsbury Food buys Scotland meringue maker Lees Foods for £6 million

Finsbury Food Group PLC announced on Monday that it has agreed to buy the meringue maker of Lees Foods Ltd. for £3.3billion.
Meringue is a dessert consisting of eggs and sugar.
Further, there will be significant cost synergies over time.

Lees Foods' adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation stood at 900.000 pounds ($216.9 million)- beating adjusted net sales of 21.6 million pounds ($17.8
million), Finsbury said.
Finsbury pointed out that Lees has a broad client base and strong supply connections with leading UK supermarkets, as well as food service and export businesses.
Shares of Finsbury Food were trading 1.2 percent higher in London on Monday afternoon at 95.60 pence.
