Greek Restaurant “Ampέli” to Open in 2020

Friday, December 6, 2019

Oren Goldfeld, former Nopi chef, is to run the kitchen at a new Mediterranean-style restaurant set to open in January on Charlotte Street, London.

Ampέli is a Greek word meaning vineyard and is used from the modern styled wine-focused restaurants in Athens and will feature menu items inspired by Greek and Eastern Mediterranean cultures.

Goldfeld has been working closely with Jenny Pagoni, the founder and first-time restaurateur who moved from her hometown of Athens in 2004 to create a menu reflecting her favourite Greek dishes in London.

The menu will feature items such as braised cuttlefish with orzo and Moroccan red pepper sauce, pan fried Welsh lamb sweetbreads and spiced potato brik.  There will also be a wine list to compliment the menu.
