The global brewing giant said it would invest 570 pubs, nearly a quarter of its UK venues, to modernise by 2023.
Brewing giant Heineken has indicated it hopes to create 600 new jobs by investing in its Star Pubs & Bars estate - a potential £40m deal.
Lawson Mountstevens, managing director of Star Pubs & Bars, said it was crucial to continue investing in venues despite the 'uncertain' consumer climate.
The Edinburgh-based pub, cider and beer company announced it will use the cash this year to modernise 570 pubs across the UK.
She said the money would go to her local pubs, which remains popular amid pressure on consumer finances and changes in attitudes after the Covid pandemic.
The boost is also intended to help pubs, which will also have a big Coronation weekend, in achieving their aim of zero net emissions of CO2 by 2040, he says.
Lord Johnson, the investment minister said: "Heineken's investment is great news, not only creating hundreds of new jobs and improving pubs up and down the country but also making a contribution to our net zero targets."
