Hilton chief takes on boss role at UKHospitality

Steve Cassidy, chief executive of Hilton UK & Ireland, has been appointed chair of UKHospitality.

The event also marks a change in UKIP's constitutional policy of extended membership.

Kate Nicholls, chairman of UKHospitality Executive, said: 'There's never been a more important time to have one voice to Government and I know that Steve will continue working across our broad membership for the betterment of the sector, as he did in his role as vice-

chair.

Ever since UKH was founded, Cassidy has been an important member of the Executive Board, and has more than 30 years "experience working in the travel industry.

He has over 30 years of experience in the travel industry and became a Hilton Executive in 2009 where he is responsible for operations in over 170 hotels across the United Kingdom, Ireland and Israel.

Nicholls also paid homage to Richards, who has been chairman of the UKH since 2018.

Paul Wigham, CEO of All Our Bars, Wendy Bartlett, Executive Chairman of BM Caterers, Peter Marks, Executive Chairman of Rekom UK, Calum Ross, owner of Loch Melfort Hotel and Restaurant, and Nick Varney, Former CEO of Merlin Entertainment are stepping

down from Merlin's Board of Directors at the end of their full terms.
