House of Gods opening in Glasgow
Tuesday, July 20, 2021
Brand new boutique hotel brand House of Gods has announced it will officially open a new four-star hotel in Glasgow.
House of Gods, which came into existence in 2019 from brothers Mike and Ross Baxter at Edinburgh's Cowgate, has been named Scotland's Sunday Times Best Hotel for 2020
News of Glasgow's plans comes after IMBIBA, a specialist leisure and hotel investor led by operators, invested £5m to expand its House of Gods Hotel, and £4.8m from UK based business lender OakNorth Bank.
The Edinburgh resort was financed partly from a £1.1million loan from Oak North Bank in 2019.
Mike and Ross Baxter, co-initiators of House of Gods Hotel, stated: "We're very excited to be expanding the brand. The Edinburgh Hotel has been incredibly well received and we feel both Glasgow and Manchester are the perfect locations for the two new hotels.
When the hotels were permitted to re-open at the end of April this year, the House of the Gods visited its buildings at a capacity of 90% in May and 95% in June.
