Ireland's biggest hotel group opens £45m hotel in central Manchester

Dalata Hotel Group has opened his second hotel in Manchester and it has created 87 jobs.
Star Clayton Hotel Manchester City Centre is a luxurious four star hotel located on Portland Street, in the heart of the city, just-minutes walking distance to Piccadilly Gardens and-minutes walking distance from Piccadilly train station to the entire north west of the city.
The 18-floor hotel provides five state of the art meeting rooms, each incorporating state-of-the-art smart touch technology and capable of accommodating up to 153 delegates, making this the perfect place for events and meetings as well as business in town.
The new hotel will follow the example of Clayton Hotel Manchester Airport and is the second Dalata Hotel Group hotel in the area.
Next month Dalata, which owns Maldron Hotels, will open the Maldron Hotel Manchester Centre, located next to the Clayton hotel.
The main contractor for the development was Russell WBHO commissioned by Property Alliance Group.
The site, a former 12-storey office building that was torn down in the £45 million project Dermot Crowley, CEO of Dalata Hotel Group, commented:
