George Osborne said it was 'very disappointing' that a ban on junk food TV commercials has not yet been introduced.

He also hinted the government may have to do more to combat obesity, by increasing sugar taxes.

Jamie Oliver appeared on an episode of BBC Radio 4 "s Today show where he told host Nick Robinson he was 'proud 'of his local authority' s approach.

Successive governments have failed to enact long-promised bans on junk foods television commercials, with Rishi Sayed's new government announcing earlier this month that the anti-obesity measure will not come into effect before 2025.
