Jamie Oliver returns to London's dining scene with Theatre Royal Drury Lane opening

Wednesday, May 3, 2023

Chef Jamie Oliver has confirmed that he's opening a new restaurant in London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane later this year

The unnamed restaurant aims to put itself ahead of the since-broken-up Italian casual dining chain Jamie's, and will serve a seasonal menu featuring British operators such as Creedy Carver and Cobble Lane Creations.

Oliver will be sourcing products from suppliers with whom he has been working in a nearly 30-year career, including free-range chicken and ducks from Creedy Carver and cured meats from Cobble Lane.

Owned and run by Andrew Lloyd Webber's LW Theatre, Royal Drury Lane is currently hosting a stage musical from the Disney film Frozen.

The venue reopens in 2021 after a two-year £60m refurbishment, with four new rooms, including Lily Vanilli's afternoon tea.
