After that there are two new locations in London and one in Liverpool, all of which will open early in the New Year.

In recent years in its home markets more and more the brand has enlarged its international presence with restaurant openings throughout Europe and its locations in the Middle East, Asia Pacific, Latin America, Caribbean and Canada.

The UK pizza industry is valued at more than £2.5billion and is expected to grow by the year, says Jeremy Vitaro, head of development at Little Caesars Pizza.

Originally set up in 1959, Little Caesars, based in Detroit, served the UK market as early as the mid-1980s and had 18 locations at peak times around the country.

Little Caesars' UK menu features huge 12-inch pizzas with toppings such as "deluxe" mushroom, Italian sausage and bacon, chilli and margherita.
