The controversial decision was made after the restaurant claimed to guard against 'intimidating appearances' at the restaurant, which is a hot spot for celebrities from tennis stars to singers.

The controversial dress code has been put into force at Bedouin Restaurant in Double Bay in New South Wales, Australia to prevent customers from 'intimidating' others.

New dress code and house regulations are shown on a sign placed in front of the restaurant. The new rules mean clients can't show 'visible tattoos,', wearing 'heavy jewellery' or designer clothes.

'We value our customers and community stakeholders, and have always implemented house rules that includes a dress policy that discourages intimidating appearances.' she told the Australian website.
