The hotel has been awarded a World 50 Best Hotels 'Art of Hospitality' Award for 2023
In 2015, Ennismore, a London-based hotel and hospitality developer, bought the hotel and embarked on its four-year upgrading programme -- the biggest investment in the hotel's history.
Gleneagles' win is the first of two special awards being given out in the weeks leading up to The World's 50 Best Hotels 2023 ceremony on 19 September, held at London's historic Guildhall borough hall.
And Gleneagles managing director Conor O'Leary said: "It is an amazing honour to become the first beneficiary of the Art of Hospitality Award as one of the first of The World's 50 Best Hotels in 2023 which was set to take place today.
This sought-after distinction "celebrates a hotel's outstanding service and attention to detail" and is intended to "reward a property and its entire staff for the professional standards they uphold and the way they interact with guests, from the
reception desk to housekeeping and its food and beverage teams"
It would be the ultimate honour for the amazing people who make up the Gleneagles team; without them this would not have been possible and this award is a recognition of their hard work and dedication to make every guest's stay a
unique and unforgettable experience.
"Gleneagles has been a mainstay of the hotel scene since it was first repeated in 1924, and continues to be an example of what it means to be truly hospitable," says Tim Brooke-Webb, CEO of The World's 50 Best Hotels.
