Celebrity chef backs Hospitality Rising campaign to combat the employment crisis

He said that while many operators are struggling with a staff shortage, the sector would always survive if people cooperated with those involved in solving the crisis.

Tom, who runs The Hand & Flowers, the only one with two Michelin stars in Britain, said

RiseFastWorkYoung aims to attract the next generation of new recruits, highlighting the opportunities and expectations that a career in the hospitality trade brings.

Mark McCulloch, founder of Hospitality Rising, who is in charge of the campaign, said: "We've been blown away by the support we've received so far but to keep up momentum and drive the next stage of the campaign, we need more people to come on board and more companies to pledge financial support."

Although there is a marked lack of staffing in the industry, Tom believes that no matter how, whatever, the hospitality industry will always survive as long as people work together to tackle the employment crisis.
